What these terms cover

These terms apply to tenantpass.app, the public information pages you are reading now. Using the TenantPass app itself, at app.tenantpass.app, is governed by the separate terms you accept when you create an account.

This is information, not legal advice

TenantPass gives general information about renting in England. It is not legal advice, it is not a substitute for advice from a solicitor or a housing adviser, and no relationship of adviser and client is created by reading these pages or by using the app.

Housing law changes, and how it applies depends on facts we cannot see. Where something matters — a notice you have been served, a deposit you are about to dispute, a possession claim — take advice. Shelter, Citizens Advice and your local council's housing team are all free.

TenantPass is built around the law in England. If you rent in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, the rules are different and this product does not yet cover them.

Availability

We aim to keep the site and the app available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of either at any time.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on general information published on this website.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
